WE BELIEVE THAT
Collaborating is Key for Successful Community Energy Projects
The energy hub is part of the NCE group and grew out of the well established NCE Insulation. Northside Community Enterprises has over 25 years’ experience working within the community. We are aware of the needs of our community in the context of combating fuel poverty for domestic homeowners, towards improving energy efficiency and reducing the costs both economically and environmentally. We believe education and raising awareness is key to tacking climate change and the energy hub welcomes people to come and get free advice on any energy related, building upgrade projects.
Over the past 15 years NCE Insulation has been bringing Communities together to reduce their energy needs and avail of grants that are available. We believe that a collaborative approach is key when it comes to community energy projects and through the work of NCE Insulation we have been the lead applicant on over 50 Better Energy Community projects and 6 Sustainable Energy Community schemes. We work in partnership with numerous CBO’s, Local Authorities and SME’s across Ireland and we have a proven track record of reducing carbon emissions and partnering with leading utilities in the BEC schemes.
